Haystack Rock is a 235-foot monolith  on the Oregon coast near Cannon Beach. It is the third-tallest intertidal structure in the world, providing a home to starfish, anemone, crabs, chitons, limpets, and sea slugs. The rock is also a refuge for many sea birds, including terns and puffins.
